About the BASS-R

The BASS-R research project is managed by the Ages and Stages International Research Group (ASIR). ASIR conducts research projects associated with revisions of the Ages & Stages Questionnaires® system, the most widely used developmental screener in the world.

The ASQ screening system targets important motor, communication, cognitive, adaptive, and social-emotional behavior. The BASS-R was developed to augment the ASQ system by screening for speech sound development in young children.

The BASS-R is a simple to use, low cost screening measure designed for use by parents, teachers and childcare providers. This research project is investigating the validity and reliability of the BASS-R. Thank you for your help!
